Nea Fokia beach, Kassandra, Halkidiki, Greece
The settlement of New Fokial located 66 km south of Thessaloniki, on the Kassandra peninsula (first leg, as they call it). Fishing village developed and hosts many visitors. New Fokia is a beach which is divided into three sections. The first, in front of the harbor and the tower which guarded the monastery of St. Paul, is small but organized into umbrellas and sunbeds by beach bar. The second and larger part of the beach is a little further north and is a bit more disorganized. These two beaches are sandy and open to visitors. The third part of the beach is in the north side, at the turn of the rock and is controlled by the army, and is a holiday destination of the senior executives. At the port attempting traditional taverns and cafés.
