Marathias beach
At about 4 km south of Toroni there is a ‘jewel’ bay, Porto Koufo. Continuing the road south towards the cape Laimos, 2 km after Porto Koufo, you will see a dirt road which leads to Marathia. There you will find a beach 200 meters long with a very small extension behind a rock. A second beach, independent, there is 150 meters from Marathia but you have to walk in order to get there. They are secluded beaches with few houses in the area without any kind of organization and facilities but with crystal clear waters and sand. There are also very few visitors due to the fact that it is difficult to access, but the picturesque setting and the tranquility this landscape offers deserve a visit.
